Fundraising report spring 2020

Fundraising:
Dock Out 2019: Last fall we had a very successful dock out. October 11th and 12th we conducted the dock out service and removed 15 docks and 10 lifts. This huge undertaking could not have been possible without our volunteers and you, our members, who allow us to provide this service for you. Our volunteers stepped up big time and they were Rob Bultinck and crew, Mark and Nathan Schlitter, Derrick and Mari Yell, Brian Schultz, Kasey Kronlund, Eric Anderson, Scott Rhine, Michael Hansen, Alek Pena, John Canny, Chuck Edwards, Greg Heber and Aaron Tempel.  It was great to have all the help and this shows how strong our association is.  We were able to raise $2239! This money goes directly to the association. We will plan on doing dock out again this fall. The date will be determined by mid-September and will most likely occur mid-October.
Tumblers: This winter we were able to have 20 ounce RTIC stainless steel cups designed with our Lipsett Lake logo engraved on them.  As of May 12th, we have sold 50. We have 46 left to sell.  When we sell all of these we will make over $1,000 for the association.
Coasters: Another item that I am personally making, along with my neighbor here in Rochester, are Lipsett Lake coasters.  He has a CO2 laser and we are able to make these coasters at low cost to you, set of 4 for $15, while providing additional income to our association. Let me know if you would like a set or two.
Corn and Brat Feed and Pancake Breakfast: With so much unknown about the future, we will hold off on making a decision about corn and brat feed and pancake breakfast until mid-June. As mentioned in previous emails, these are a nice source of income for our association.
Online Auction: We will be conducting an online auction for items that are donated to the lake.  This will be a closed box bidding system. You will send an email to me with your bid. At the end of the week I will open all the bids and the highest bidder wins the item. The item will go up for auction on Sunday and will close the following Sunday. We want your talents and items for the online auction.  If you have gift baskets, gift certificates, handmade quilts, afghans, handmade art, wood carvings, etc, please let myself or Holly know and we can get these items from you and get them auctioned off.
We have many people who care greatly about this lake and want to ensure the beauty of it. This is evident in our volunteers who time and time again help with our fundraising efforts.  We know that with people losing their jobs or work being slow because of the pandemic we will see increased use of our lake.  We need to remain vigilant and make certain that we have the funds to protect our Lipsett Lake.
We hope to see all of you out on the water this summer!
Aaron and Holly Tempel
