A note from one of our Lipsett Lake Neighbors:
“I got up to our cabin late this afternoon.  I was pleasantly surprised -- especially given the black fly problem -- to see a tiny loon chick swimming around with its parents at the end of our dock.  Unfortunately, however, I noted a number of jet skiers and boaters getting perilously close to the loon family much to the anxiety of the chick's parents.

Maybe you could send around a note to the Association members to make sure folks are on the lookout for our loon family, and that they give the loon family plenty of space.  Thanks.”

Remember, Loons are a special gift to our lake and we are fortunate to have them every summer.  However, if we injure them or scare them off the lake, they may quit nesting here.
