2013 Lake Assocation Dues are Due

Please click on the "Currrent Members" page on the right side of this home page, to make sure your 2013 dues have been paid.  If not paid, please send a check for $25 payable to Lipsett Lake Association to Don Loftus at 26610 Brede Lane, Spooner, WI 54801.

If you have any questions regarding your dues, please call Don at 715-635-3594.

Why should you join the lake association?
Your dues support an active lake association that is fighting to keep the invasive species out of our lake; checks the water temperature, clarity, phosphorus, and chlorophyll, provides boat monitoring to keep invasive species from entering the lake.  We contract with Burnett County Land and Water Conservation Dept. to do plant surveys.  We also do our own surveys of Curlyleaf Pondweed with equipment purchased with your dues.  Volunteers also find and kill Purple Loostrife.  We are a member of the Burnett Lakes and Rivers Association which publishes and distributes Lake Lines Newsletter to all Riparian owners and provides advice and directions for curent lake issues.  We participate in the Northwest Wisconsin Lakes Conference which is paid for with your dues.

The Lake Association Sponsors:
Christmas Party, a July 4th Parade and tie-up party, Brat and Corn Feed, Twilight Boat Parade and tie-up party, Children’s Fishing Contest, Docks-In/Docks-Out fundraiser, Photo Contest, and Lipsett Lake Calendar fund raiser.  We contribute to Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute as part of the Loon Watch Program.  We have two Lake Association meetings each year to help keep members informed.  We maintain a Blog to keep all Lake Association information up to date.

We are a non-stock corporation in the State of Wisconsin and we are pursuing Federal Tax Exempt Status which will allow people to make tax deductible donations to the Lake Association and also keep us from paying Federal Taxe on income that we make.

If anyone can think of something else that should be added to this list, please let me know.  Pam Loftus, pkloftus@centurytel.net
