I think I can announce that the official Ice Out Day on Lipsett for this year is today -- March 20, 2012. Don drove all around the lake this afternoon and just found a tiny spot of ice in a place where the wind couldn't get to it. In which case, perhaps the official day will be tomorrrow.
Either way - Doris says it is the earliest Ice Out that she can ever remember on Lipsett Lake.
