4th of JULY BOAT PARADE!!! (Takes place on Saturday July 2nd)
Reminder that this year's Lipsett Lake's 4th of July Boat Parade will take place on Saturday July 2nd, gathering at the outlet and beginning at 1pm. We will be traveling counter clockwise this year. Boat numbers can be found on the right side of the blog and must be displayed on the side of your boat large enough for the judges to see them from shore. Once the parade is over we ask that all boats circle back around so we can all see each others creations. There will be prizes and plaques awarded to 1st and 2nd place for most Original and Patriotic. Only paid members will be eligible for prizes.
The after parade tie up party will begin approx. 20-30 minutes after the parade to give people time to un decorate. Let's try to meet in the middle of the lake first to see how the wind is and go from there. Please bring a dish to pass for the tie up and a beverage of your choice. We had one of our best turn outs last year for not only the parade but the tie up too, let's out do ourselves this year!
We also are in need of parade judges and official photographer. So if you are just watching the parade and would like to volunteer for one of these prestigious positions, please get in touch with Greg Heber at 612-282-8097.
